FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. The Atlanta Falcons beat the Buffalo Bills at home Monday night and will now play the San Francisco 49ers on the road Sunday. That's a quick turnaround for a cross-country trip.
The 49ers, meanwhile, lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road in Week 6 and now return home. It's a similar trip but with an extra day built in.
The circumstances between these two NFC teams heading into their Week 7 matchup are essentially flipped: coming off a home win vs. a road loss. However, their records are similar. While the 49ers are 4-2, yet to take their bye, the Falcons are 3-2 after powering through the earliest bye.
