Cost cutting exercises abound at Sony

Sony’s LCD TV operations are in for a shakeup to improve profits.
In 2012, Sony will conclude its business integration and will aim for a 20% share of the LCD TV market.
The electronics giant has been solidifying its plans to cut costs in the economic downturn after last month reporting its fourth consecutive quarterly loss.
Sony has also said it wants to make its game operations more profitable by cutting costs and expanding both hardware and software sales. Email this story to a friend
