Pigs contract flu though human contact
The London News.Net Sunday 3rd May, 2009
A herd of pigs in Canada has tested positive for swine flu, after coming into contact with a human carrier.
The pigs were apparently infected by an Alberta farm worker who had recently returned from Mexico with flu symptoms.
The herd, in the western province of Alberta, has been quarantined.
Until the Alberta case there had been no incident in the current phase of any pig having swine flu. The World Health Organization, WHO, says there is no risk of infection from the virus from consumption of well-cooked pork and pork products.
As of Sunday 18 countries have officially reported 898 cases of the A(H1N1) infection.
Mexico has reported 506 confirmed human cases, including 19 deaths. The higher number of cases from Mexico in the past 48 hours reflects ongoing testing of previously collected specimens, WHO said in a statement. The United States Government has reported 226 laboratory confirmed human cases, including one death. In Canada, the total number of sufferers has risen from 35 to 85. Email this story to a friend

Pigs contract flu though human contact
Honestly, methinks this whole brouhaha about the swine flu has been grossly
over-exaggerated.Just look at the mortality rate in those countries which have
seen the disease pay a visit, including the USA...much, much lower than that
of avian flu.In fact, in the case of the USA, the mortality rate from swine flu to date
is almost similar to the normal flu...every year, more than 36,000 Americans die
of normal fu anyway! The case of Mexico, where the H1N1 virus first came about
recently, is a bit baffling, in terms of the high mortality rate(in comparison to the
USA, New Zealand, Canada, etc),but still, this mortality rate in Mexico from the
swine flu is nowhere near to the mortality rate in Hongkong and China previously
due to the avian flu.
There may be a lot of truth in what Michael O`Leary, the Ryanair boss, said yesterday...
“The whole swine flu thing is a complete overblown load of nonsense generally beloved by
politicians to distract people from the economic recession. It gives politicians an excuse
to be discussing something else instead of badly run economies and the economic crisis."

Hmmm it seems to me that if proper protocol is to be followed, all the humans in the area should be culled (killed) to protect the pigs..... Haaa de harrrr

The pigs are the fall guys for Government Psyops to channel peoples attentions away from the economy and failures of their governments.
To the individual attempting to insult everyones intelligence cry me a river.
No one pretends to be you unless they do so to show you what everyone already knows you’re an idiot.
To you I happily say piss off.
The pigs are not the problem filthy people, corrupt governments and government labs are.

I agree with "Unregistered" above
If we slaughter a bunch of Canucks we might be able to get some pure-blooded Americans into the NHL. And not before time, too!

To guyzeko
What kind of comment is that? Not everyone in the United States supports the war. You can’t classify an entire nation based on the actions of their president or even by the contact you have with other people from that country.
