Pet pooch Gus wins ugliest dog contest!
The London News.Net Wednesday 16th July, 2008 (ANI)
London, July 16 : A nine-year-old hairless Chinese Crested dog by the name of Gus, won an award for being the ugliest pooch in the world.
Gus had lost a rear leg due to skin cancer and has an ear that is also affected by the disease.
The pooch's features were further distorted by a missing left eye, which had been clawed out by his owner's cat.
Gus, who won the title at California's Sonoma-Marin Fair, had been taken in by Jeanenne Teed, 46, eight years ago.
The hairless dog has so far cost his owner 2,500 pounds in medical bills, but she is unfazed by it.
"He's so ugly, he's cute," the Sun quoted her as saying.

Don’t you think it’s really mean to have an ugliest dog contest?
