George Clooney hits it off with Posh and Becks
The London News.Net Thursday 8th May, 2008 (ANI)
London, May 8 : It was certainly a friendship formed in heaven, literally so, as George Clooney and Victoria and David Beckham clicked like a house on fire while travelling together in a private plane to New York.
The trio hit it off instantly while they were heading New York in Giorgio Armani's private jet to attend the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Gala, the Oscars of the fashion world.
The Jet had to make a transit at Utah, as David had to play for LA Galaxy and then the plane again took off taking the threesome, who had a riot on the rest of the journey, keeping them company were Cristal champagne on ice and free mini-bar.
"George was only recently introduced to the Beckhams but they hit it off straight away. He totally digs Victoria's dry, very British sense of humour and gets her jokes, which a lot of Americans don't. They went out for dinner the evening before their flight but the trio really bonded on the plane, swapping gossip and doing hilarious impressions," The Mirror quoted a source, as saying.
After touching the ground, the airborne friends were driven to the Met for the glammest night of the showbiz calendar, after which the trio went clubbing at Bungalow 8.
George Clooney is the latest A-list star to join the Beckham club. The Beckhams have been attracting stars ever since they have shifted base to US. Firstly it was Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, next was Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria and Will Smith, then Kate Beckinsale and Gwen Stefani.
